Galaxy Council Member of the Month

Bill Sheehan – Bill Sheehan, like many Galaxy members grew up with the sights and sounds of Westover B-52 and KC-135 aircraft roaring over his home.  “We really didn’t mind the noise as we were happy they were our planes” he said.  Bill learned about the Galaxy Council in 1994 during his visits to Westover while serving as Combined Federal Campaign Chairman.  Bill’s involvement in the Galaxy Council includes managing the volunteer booths at the air shows and, until recently producing the monthly meeting notices and press releases for the Galaxy Council.  He also served as a member of the Galaxy Board of Directors for 16 years.  Bill has been married for 43 years to the former Madelyn Ferrero and is the father of two sons Bill and Mark.  In 2000 Bill retired from the Social Security Administration after 33 years of service.  He also served 32 years with the Massachusetts Air National Guard retiring in 1995.  Since joining the Galaxy Council Bill has worked every air show and almost every Family Day at Westover.  Bill is another fine example of the type of member that makes the Galaxy Council such a great organization.  Thanks Bill for your support.
