Galaxy Council Member of the Month

Tom Kennedy – Tom has been a member of the Galaxy Community Council since 1990.   He has been a member of the Board of Directors almost as long, coming on board in 1991 when it was then called the Board of Governors.   Having been a commercial pilot most of his life, Tom was naturally interested in planes, which prompted friends of his to get him involved in the Galaxy Council. Many of us have Tom to thank for the ongoing display of War Birds at the air shows each year, as he has been handling this side of the show since 1992.  While talking to Tom, I learned the expense involved in bringing to War Birds to the Air Show each year.  Tom coordinates with other air shows in the northeast to try to share the travel expenses and fuel, and therefore bring us a more impressive display each year. Tom met his wife when he was a pilot for Eastern Airlines and she was a stewardess.  They’ve been married 31 years and have one daughter.  In his spare time, Tom enjoys hunting, and target & skeet shooting.  We thank you for your all your hard work and ongoing contributions to the Galaxy Community Council.
