Galaxy Council Member of the Month

Galaxy Member of the Month Ed Kopec

Each month the Galaxy Community Council profiles one of its members.  This month’s member is:

Ed Kopec – Ed has been a member of the Galaxy Council since 1994.  An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, Ed served as a mechanic working on the F-80 Shooting Star jet fighter.  Upon release from the Air Force Ed began a 50 year career with Precision Camera as a repairman.  Ed also began another 50 year commitment, this one to his wife Kathleen.  Ed and Kathleen celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in October, 2005.  When he is not volunteering at Galaxy functions, Ed spends a lot of time at South Hadley Middle School where he helped found a model airplane club.  Ed and his wife reside in South Hadley and are strong supporters of Westover ARB.
